Yoghurt pond cake with dark chocolate

Traditionally pound cake was made with pound of each ingredient: flour, butter, eggs and sugar. Taking into account, that pound is almost 500 g, cake made with such an amount ingredients could last for the family for over a week …. J

Now we called ‘pound cake’ cake made with the proportion 1:1:1:1, but as the recipes are changing all the time, you can’t be sure anything.

Today than, a cake which is very moist and delicious! We’ve been eating it for a few days and until the end it hasn’t lost its flavour and consistency. You have to try it!

Ingredients ( for a 11 inch/ 28 cm in diameter cake pan)
2 ¼ cups wheat flour
2 cups sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter (I added slightly less)
1 cup sour cream ( I added Greek yoghurt)
3 eggs
3,5 oz (100 g) chocolate chips
1 spoon vanilla extracte

Beat butter with sugar until fluffy. Add cream (yoghurt), eggs and all the dry ingredients. Combine with chocolate chips. Spoon the batter into the greased cake pan. Bake at 340F/ 170 oC for about 60 min. Cool the cake in a cake pan for about 15 min.
