(Party) sweet and spicy glazed meatballs

Probably at the moment I’m writing this post some of you have a nap ( saving energy to party for a whole night) and some are still in a kitchen making snacks for a party :)Today I belong to the others, and that’s why below you will find a recipe for meatballs in a sweet and spicy glaze….

Ingredients
500 g (18 oz) mince beet
3 slices baguette ( or white bread)
½ cup milk
1 egg
1 onion
1 tbsp oil
¼ teaspoon ground coriander
¼ teaspoon ground rosemary
1 tbsp hot ketchup
salt, pepper
1 cup coca-cola
½ cup brown sugar
fresh or dry chilli – as much as you can eat
pinch salt

Method
Boil coke with sugar, salt and chilli until it becomes a syrup ( about 30 min.). Finely chop the onion and fry in an oiled pan. In a large bowl soak bread in milk, when soft mix it with meat and the rest of the ingredients. Form small balls and place them on a lined baking tray. Bake at 230 oC (460 F) for about 20 min. Slightly cool meatballs dip in a coke mixture and bake them again ( you can use the grill/barbecue function in your oven) until the glaze visible. After you can cover the meatballs in a glaze again. Serve with sweet and sour chilli sauce.
