Granny Smith or an apple cake

I bought apples, which turned out to be wine apples so eating them wasn’t a pleasure for me. And as no one has to talk me into baking cakes, I searched in the Internet and after an hour the Granny Smith apple cake was on the table (if you will have some free time read their history).
Apple cake was very moist and aromatic. I made it with double portion of ingredients in a medium size cake pan (about 25 cm/10 in) and served with vanilla sauce.
10 people ate this cake and honestly everyone loved it…right!!(?)

Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
4 tbsp butter (+some for greasing the pan)
2/3 cup sugar
½ cup buttermilk
1 egg
1 cup dice apples
vanilla essence
2 tbsp brown sugar

Method
In one bowl mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. In another bowl mix butter with sugar until fluffy and light. Add 1/3 dry ingredients mixture at one time to the egg mixture alternating with buttermilk. Well combine all ingredients. Gently spoon the batter in greased and floured pan. Put apples on top of it. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar (you can sprinkle it also with ground cinnamon). Bake at 200 oC (390 F) , for 30 min.
